Every partnership between dog and human grows in its own unique way, and will bloom when given the right support and guidance.
Dog training rooted in working with your dog; not against them.
Dog behaviour is not just a problem to be fixed, but something to be understood and addressed by considering your dog as a whole — from their genetic traits, instincts, drives and individual characteristics, and their overall health and wellbeing.
My biggest goal is to empower dog owners and their dogs through effective relationship-based training that prioritises mutual trust, confidence and clear communication — helping you both grow through harmony and connection from the roots upwards.
Every dog learns differently from the next. This is why every dog’s training journey with me won’t look the same.
My training methods vary based on each dog I work with as every dog and their owner need a personalised approach. What may work for one partnership may not work as well if at all for the next.
I always aim to use the least intrusive methods where possible, and always prioritise relationship and communication through building play skills, training with food, and utilising fulfilment activities as part of the process.
The goal is always for training to be enjoyable as well as practical, simple and successful for everyone involved.
Key Values
Fulfilment
Understanding what fulfils your dog is an integral piece of the puzzle when addressing their behaviour.
Regardless of their breed, every dog needs ways to satisfy their natural instincts and give them outlets for the things that drive them.
Without these outlets available to them, they have nowhere for those instincts and drives to go, which is why they end up exhibiting undesirable behaviours.
Having a dog can be hard work. REALLY hard work. But the important thing is to not give up, seen if it feels like it’s never going to get better.
By remaining consistent, even when it gets tough, progress can be made.
Perseverance
Freedom
Freedom should always be the end goal, regardless of the behaviour issues you are working with.
All dogs deserve the freedom to express themselves and enjoy time off-lead.
By instilling a clear line of communication between human and dog, all dogs have the capability to enjoy freedom safely.
Trust
One of the most important pillars of any strong partnership.
Dogs have minds of their own and when they haven’t been given clear enough structure and boundaries, they will make decisions that perhaps aren’t the best ones. If they aren’t taught the alternative effectively, the likelihood is they will keep doing it.
On the other side, there are dogs who don’t trust their owners to help them when they need it.
By building trust on both sides, dog ownership becomes so much more enjoyable, and the relationship between dog and human can truly flourish.
